New Start
I started blogging on this site five years or so ago, just to see what it was about. I probably averaged three or four blogs a year since then. Mostly, I didn't have a strong subject to talk about.
After reading the Simple Dollar blog, I decided that I do want to write about something - clinical trials. I've been involved and interested in clinical trials since starting work at Oracle in what was then called Pharmaceutical Applications group. That was in 2000, which isn't that long ago. But in the intervening years, I've worked to learn as much as I can about clinical trials and how technology can make them better.
There are a lot of sites and blogs out there that talk about recent occurrences in the industry. It remains to be seen if I can add anything to the conversation. I think I have a perspective that is a bit uncommon, so the blog will add some value by circulating information and ideas about improving clinical trials through enhanced use of technology.
